Founders Day

Take advantage of FREE admission Friday and Saturday to Pioneer Museum, the Vereins Kirche Museum, the Schanuda House and the Historic Gillespie County Jail.

Kick off the weekend at the Founder's Day luncheon on Friday, May 2 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Holy Family Center.

Free Public Program on Friday, May 2 at 3 p.m. featuring a presentation, book signing and activity from author Susan Thomas.

Celebrate the opening of the Staudt-Jenschke House on Friday, May 2 at 2 p.m. on the corner of Milam and San Antonio Streets.

Experience Living History on the grounds of Pioneer Museum on Saturday, May 3 from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. Tour the temporary exhibit in the museum store, see demonstrations from spinners, handwerkers and blacksmiths, talk with Frontier Company Interpretive Living Historians and participate in a hands-on, family-friendly scavenger hunt.
