Join us at Tropix Pots Cuisine for Frederick County’s first Umoja (Unity) celebration a meaningful community milestone and a powerful moment for Frederick. This gathering matters because Unity is not just a theme; it’s a practice. Umoja calls us to strengthen the bonds that connect our families, our neighbors, and our community, and to show up for one another with love and purpose.

As we welcome the season of Kwanzaa, we will honor its first principle Umoja (Unity)and celebrate the cultural traditions that keep our community grounded, resilient, and strong. Bring your family and friends for an intergenerational evening of culture, connection, and joy while also supporting a Black-owned business this holiday season.

Candle Lighting Ceremony

African Drum and Dance

African Storytelling

Children’s Activities

Raffle Tickets and Door Prizes

Photo Booth and Family Photos

The Karamu (Unity Dinner)

Vendors and Community Market

Vendors Needed: Vendor Fee: $25 (non-refundable)

Check-In & Setup: Vendors must arrive 1 hour before the event start time to check in and set up.

Tables & Chairs: We will provide one table 6x6 and chairs for each vendor space (unless otherwise noted).

Venue Rules: To protect the venue, no drilling, no nails/tacks, no holes in walls, and no adhesive that may damage surfaces. Please use free-standing displays only.

No-Show / Refund Policy: The $25 vendor fee is final and non-refundable. No-shows and late cancellations forfeit the fee. Vendor spaces are reserved only after payment is completed through Eventbrite.
