Playgroup Rockstar Adoption Event at WCAC

Dogs Playing for Life is a nonprofit with a mission to enhance the quality of life of shelter dogs to increase life-saving. Playing can be a dog’s most natural form of positive interaction and communication with both humans and fellow dogs. For shelters like WCAC, allowing dogs to be dogs in playgroups can reveal their behavioral tendencies better than their reactions during the intake process, while kenneled, or during a formal behavior evaluation. For those interested in adopting, this is a wonderful opportunity to observe our dogs during this very special playgroup session led by DPFL founder Aimee Sadler. You will have the opportunity to ask our trainers and volunteers in-depth questions about their personalities and how they would do in your home environment! We will only be processing adoptions from the dog play yards located next to our Training Room outside (Sunday, October 5th) from 11am-1pm. Our main adoption building (including cat and dog adoption) will be closed to the public.
