Artist Bio:
Pepper Brooks grew up in small-town Alabama. Surrounded by music at an early age, he always found a love for music in all forms. His father and uncle both played guitar, his mother sang and many more family members played various instruments. While overseas serving his country in the U.S. Army, Pepper purchased his very first guitar and started teaching himself how to play.
In his 20's he started playing and singing in church where he got comfortable being on stage and performing. Later on in his mid 30's he was encouraged to start doing live shows and showcasing some of his original music. He spent the next few years learning more and more how to entertain a crowd and in April of 2021 he walked away from 20+ years in sales to pursue a music career full time.
In 2022, he left his home in rural Alabama to move to the city of Birmingham, AL. Shortly after that transition he moved on to the country music capital Nashville, TN.
Since moving to Nashville he has worked with a list of talented artists and recently recorded his debut album at the world famous “Dark Horse Studios”. He has also made recordings at “We the People Productions” and at “Hidden Creek Studios”. He has written songs with some well known song writers such as Jason Wyatt, Corey Lee Barker (aka Christmas Corey) and many many others.
2024 brought in new and exciting opportunities where he received his first award from ISSA for Single of the Year “America I Miss You". Later in the year his song “Old Fashioned Therapy” won best traditional country song from WSA.
Pepper has been influenced by so many types of music, from 90's hair bands, Hip Hop, Pop and of course Country. His songwriting has progressively gotten better with each and every song he puts out. Drawing on life experience, current times and general topics he has the ability to tell such amazing stories through his songs.
Whether he is covering a song or playing an original he takes on the character of each song as though it is his own.
