Grandparents are just that – GRAND parents! They make life grand when we spend time with them! Honoring Dollie – my great grandmother and to celebrate National Grandparent’s Day, we will be hosting a unique Grandparent’s High Tea event to honor your grandparents as we create a special atmosphere on the flower farm helping to make lasting memories to cherish! Throughout your visit we will have “snips of sharing” to honor the grandparents in attendance.
Enjoying high tea is nearly a 200-year-old tradition that we are modeling for your day at Dollie’s. Rustic Root Traveling Tea Room will be serving High Tea for your group to share. All courses are served at once on a tiered tray, so your meal is enjoyed in that order—”savory to sweet.” High teas offer a prime opportunity for dressing your best—getting dressed up for a tea party, or come as you wish. We will have special photo ops for your group to commemorate your day!
Whether it is just you & grandpa, or your entire family coming to spend a special day with your grandparents, we will be serving your guests on fancy decorated tables, with old-fashioned plates and teacups, set up in private spots all over the flower farm.
Before you leave for the day, each family has an opportunity to purchase a bouquet of flowers for your grandparents to take home. The official flower for National Grandparent’s Day is the “forget-me-not” flower. There will be some growing in the fields for you to include in your bouquet. Additionally, Dollie’s designers will have a flower arranging station set up on the farm where a designer will help your grandparents build their bouquet. Grandma can bring her favorite vase, or you can purchase a vase on the farm.
Cost $75 for you and 1 grandparent… $30 for each additional guest (no limit to how many additional guests can purchase a ticket to join in the time to honor your grandparent/s).
