Marisela Fleites-Lear - Flamenco Matinee!
We are pleased to welcome back Marisela Fleites-Lear for a Sunday matinee performance. A Cuban-born dancer and choreographer of Spanish and criollo descent, Marisela Fleites began dancing flamenco and Spanish dances at the age of 5 and has studied with many great masters in Cuba, Spain, Mexico, and the USA. She holds a Ph.D. in Romance Languages and Literature and she is an emeritus faculty of Spanish and Latin American Studies at Green River College. Her research and publications examine the construction of images of women in Latin American and Latino literature from the perspectives of literary, gender, racial, ethnic, and cultural studies.
Fleites has performed extensively in Cuba and in the USA and last performed at the Chapel in 2017. Join us to experience the beautiful, passionate and expressive dance art form of Flamenco characterized by intricate footwork, emotional arm and torso movements, rhythmic clapping.

Adult beverages will be available for purchase along with free water.

No outside food or drinks permitted.
