As Artistic Director Lorraine Milovac enters her third season, Belle Voci membership continues to grow. Seventy-five treble voices from diverse backgrounds meet weekly, demonstrating music's unifying power. Our performances inspire audiences and foster a sense of community, allowing everyone to experience the transformative power of music.
Belle Voci encourages and accepts singers with all levels of experience, and our music selections range from traditional and popular to new and consequential works that highlight moments and movements in history.
We performed the Pittsburgh debut of Andrea Ramsey's Suffrage Cantata in the spring of 2022 and the powerful Anne Frank: A Living Voice by Linda Tutas Haugen in the spring of 2023. We continue to perform original works and will showcase several pieces by local composer Brian Sable this season.
Our sensory-friendly concerts, initiated in 2022, allow us to create a comfortable atmosphere so that underserved populations can experience the joy of music. Our repertoire of sensory-friendly performances has grown to two events per year.
Belle Voci strives to bring the splendor and benefits of music to everyone by “Connecting song and community.” Your generous support makes this possible, and your donation will be super-charged with a 2-for-1 match.
