Through sketches, storytelling, and a healthy dose of dark humour, She Works Hard For (No) Money delivers a painfully relatable commentary on the invisible workload women still carry at home AND in the workplace — and the cultural systems that keep it all in place.

This whip-smart, laugh-out-loud show explores the untold story of invisible labour — from the tyranny of working your 9-5 while also project managing your own household, to the mysterious phenomenon of male weaponised incompetence (the art of pretending not to know, so you don’t have to do the job). It’s a theatrical deep-clean of the mental load carried by women everywhere. Expect laughs, tears, and maybe a few cleaning tips — but don’t expect anyone else to book the babysitter.
As part of the Anywhere Festival, the world of invisible, unpaid labour in She Works Hard For (No) Money is being transported into the real office space of ‘The Precinct’, Fortitude Valley. The Precinct is a hub for innovators, and is an initiative of Advance Queensland, supported by the Queensland Government.
