Wild Edibles Hike with Carrie Vrabel

Eagle Marsh East | August 23rd, 10 am -12 pm

Explore Indiana’s edible wild plants and mushrooms with expert forager and state-certified mushroom ID specialist Carrie Vrabel. Carrie teaches across the state, runs Wild Edible Indiana, and is currently writing a book on Indiana’s native wild edibles. On this guided hike, you’ll learn to identify edible plants and fungi, hear about their traditional uses, and gain insight into their ecological roles.

Note: No foraging is allowed at Eagle Marsh. It is a protected nature preserve and all plants, fungi, and wildlife must remain untouched.

Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. Spots may be limited so register early!
