Folk Magic 101: Amulets, Curios & Talismans

Amulets, Curios, & Talismans with Brandon Weston

A workshop on crafting and using amulets and talismans as part of your practice. We’ll explore traditional Ozark “charm bags” and create a house charm bag for protection. We’ll also look at curio objects like whole roots, nuts, and animal parts that are held and carried as natural amulets. This class is taught by Ozark folklorist and writer Brandon Weston of Ozark Healing Traditions and is great for beginners as well as seasoned practitioners from any and all traditions. Class 1 in a series of 5.
