About the event

Cycling Merit Badge University

Hosted by Keith Brannon, Head Coach of the River Valley Marshals youth mountain bike team, in collaboration with the Arkansas National Interscholastic Cycling Association (ARNICA) and Scouting America.

Come kick off your Cycling Merit Badge journey with fellow Scouts from around the River Valley! This event will introduce the trail biking option of the merit badge. Scouts will:

Learn essential mountain biking skills

Practice trail safety & etiquette.

Complete two 2-mile rides.

Begin working on official badge requirements.

This is Day 1 of the merit badge journey — future rides will be scheduled to complete the badge!

Open to: All registered Scouts BSA youth
Required: Closed-toe shoes, refillable water bottle, helmet (if you have one)
Optional: Bring your own bike — or use one of ours!
