⏰ 9:30 AM (Arrive by 8 AM to get a seat and a speaking card)
Do you enjoy paddling, walking the beach, biking the island, or simply visiting Boca Grande with your family?
A new Lee County ordinance could permanently restrict public street parking across much of the island—including areas commonly used for beach access, paddling drop-offs, and downtown visits. These changes would shift traffic pressure onto already overcrowded state parks and limit access for locals who use the island respectfully.
This is your chance to speak up!
Join other concerned residents, paddlers, business owners, and recreational users in attending the Lee County Commissioners meeting on August 5. Even if you don’t speak, your presence matters.
🧭 Why it matters:
Public beach and paddle access could be lost
Parking at popular drop points like 19th Street may disappear
Local businesses and outdoor recreation will be directly affected
Pressure on already maxed-out state parks will increase
📣 What to expect:
Peaceful, respectful attendance at the hearing
Option to submit a public comment
Information shared from multiple voices in the community—not just businesses
👥 Who's invited:
Anyone who uses Boca Grande for outdoor recreation, tourism, or community enjoyment. This isn’t about politics—it’s about preserving fair access.
