Fort Myers, FL – In the month of June, DAAS CO-OP Art Gallery & Gifts is exhibiting the work of multimedia artist Andrea Gornik. The opening reception is scheduled for the evening of Friday, June 6, 2025, from 5:30pm to 9:00pm. This is a free event, and the adjacent Arts & Eats Café will be open during the same hours. The exhibition is on display until June 29th, 2025.
Andrea Gornik is a multimedia artist whose work explores the evolving nature of creative expression. Her current exhibition showcases a diverse body of work, ranging from abstract forms to botanical studies and wildlife subjects—that reflect the fluidity and ongoing evolution of her artistic voice. Working primarily in acrylic and mixed media, Gornik emphasizes texture as both a visual and tactile experience, inviting viewers to engage with each piece on multiple sensory levels. Her art is a testament to growth in motion, always transforming, yet rooted in a deep appreciation for nature’s form and feeling.
“This collection represents a pivotal chapter in my creative journey—one defined by exploration, transition, and discovery.” – explains Gornik, in reference to the raw emotion of abstract compositions to the organic intricacy of botanical forms and the vibrant presence of wildlife in her work. “Each piece is a reflection of movement and metamorphosis. My process is rooted in texture, built through layers of acrylic, joint compound, and mixed media—to evoke both depth and immediacy.” – concludes the artist, whose exhibition is not about arriving at a single style, but about honoring the flux, the freedom, and the richness that comes from allowing the work to evolve alongside her.
Everyone is invited to attend this great event and meet the artist on the first Friday of June. DAAS CO-OP Art Gallery & Gifts is located at 10051 McGregor BLVD, STE 104 in Fort Myers, FL (adjacent to Arts & Eats Café) in the Alliance for the Arts Campus.
