Join Outdoor Recreation for the annual Hunting, Fishing, Recreation Open House and Gear Swap, sponsored by the Gary Sinise Foundation!*
The Hunting, Fishing, Recreation Open House and Gear Swap takes place this year at Uchee Creek Activity Center (AC) starting at 5 p.m. EDT!
Meet local businesses and vendors from the recreation, hunting, and fishing community, along with experts from Outdoor Recreation and the Fort Benning Conservation Branch. This event is fun for the whole family and a must for outdoorsmen! The Equipment Resource Center will showcase equipment you might need, plus we’ll have fun games like 3D archery shooting, and chances to win awesome door prizes!
Sign up for the Gear Swap by visiting or calling Outdoor Recreation at 7310 Gillespie Street, building 1707, 706-545-7978. There’s a fee of $10 to participate in the Gear Swap. For last-minute signups at the event, please bring cash to pay fee. Registration is highly recommended to save your spot!
This event is free to attend and open to active duty soldiers, retirees, family members (with dependent ID), and DoD civilians.
Uchee Creek can be accessed from Alabama HWY 165, no visitors pass required! And remember, although Uchee Creek Campground is located in Fort Mitchell, AL, all times are on Eastern Time.
