Our highly anticipated chamber series opens the season with a cello recital by Madeline Fayette, cello, and Jinhee Park, piano. The program journeys from Bach’s graceful Sonata in G major, BWV 1027 to Gershwin’s jazz-infused Three Preludes, and culminates in Rachmaninoff’s monumental Cello Sonata in G minor, Op. 19, a sweeping Romantic masterpiece that brings the full expressive power of the cello to life.
