Newport News Park / Lake Hall Reservoir Hike (5 miles) with Linda Hansel

We’ll meet in the large parking lot behind the Ranger Station to start our adventure. The hike begins on the paved asphalt path that circles the lake for just over a mile. From there, we’ll head onto the White Oak Trail, which winds around the swamp, passes by the lagoon, and loops back to connect with the asphalt path, returning us to our cars.

🌲 Distance: About 5 miles total, with options to explore side trails
🐢 Wildlife: Keep an eye out for turtles, wading birds, and a variety of other fowl along the way
🚶 Trail Surface: A mix of paved path and natural trail

This will be a beautiful, moderately paced hike with plenty of nature to enjoy. Bring water, comfortable shoes, and your sense of adventure!
