Build a Unique Story Character Workshop at Fort Collins Comic Con 2025

Create your own unique story character in this group participation workshop. Will your heroes and villains play roles in a novel or screenplay? Or will they reside in a comic or silent book? You‘ll learn how to use the artist’s process to create your characters, and why it’s so important to start there first. This can be a helpful step whether your character will appear more in a written form or in a visual art form. Seeing and understanding your characters brings them to life. Be prepared to sketch your character, no artistic skill needed. The purpose of this workshop is to breathe life into your character, to walk in their shoes (or their lack of shoes). Please bring pens or pencils and paper, and any sketching materials you would enjoy using. Plan to participate in small group work and sharing the character you create if time allows.
