Bloom Coasters with Resin Finish Art Workshop (2 parts)

First Session: Tuesday-8/5/2025 1-3pm. Working with house paint, varnish, acrylics, and mica pigments as media you will create a beautiful set of 4 abstract coasters. This technique is known as "Bloom". Cheryl will teach you how to achieve unique, fun results by blowing, spinning and swiping your pigments on ceramic tiles. Your coasters will need to remain in the classroom for some drying days to be ready for epoxy resin finish.

Second Session: Friday-8/8/2025 2-3pm. Low toxicity/low odor Art Resin will be used to coat your coasters. Plastic aprons, gloves provided. Simple masks available. You will mix the resin and apply for a stunning finish to your work. Tape removal instructions/cork backs provided. Coasters will need to remain in the classroom overnight to begin curing. Must be picked up the next day.

Low toxicity and minimal odor resin product is used in this class. Wear old clothing. Nitrile gloves and a thin plastic apron are provided. Simple face masks will be available for use if you choose to wear one. You may also feel free to bring your own face respirator.

Beginning level class, ages 13 and up welcome.
