Join us for The Weird and Wonderful: Ocean Oddballs and Peculiar Partnerships, an evening of marine science that’s as eerie as it is fascinating!
This special Halloween-season event will explore the biology behind some of the ocean’s strangest creatures and most unexpected alliances. Learn about vampire squid, tongue-eating isopods, hagfish slime, ghost reefs, zombie fish, and many more curious ocean dwellers that make the deep sea such a mysterious and marvelous place.
Arrive early for Halloween Happy Hour starting at 5:00 PM — mingle with friends, enjoy light refreshments, and get in the spooky spirit before the talk begins at 6:00 PM.
This program is part of the Noyo Center for Marine Science’s Science Social series, designed to spark curiosity, community, and conversation around our ocean and coastal ecosystems.
Costumes encouraged!
