POTTERY CLASS - Handmade Coffee Mug

There is something special and gratifying to drink your favorite beverage out of a personal handmade cup that you created! Come take a class with us to learn how to make your perfect cup!

This handbuilding class uses slabs of clay to build functional tableware, mainly tumblers, or cups, perfect for coffee, tea or any other beverage. In this 2 hr class, we’ll teach you basic handbuilding techniques that anyone can learn, including

•curving and attaching a flat slab together into the cup shape

◦ how to build a sturdy base using clay slab and a few simple tools

◦ decoration using texture, stamps, imagery and handmade stencils. If you want bring along any leaves or flowers you want to impress into the clay, we welcome you to do so.

•How to create and attach handles to turn the cup into a mug that will hold any hot beverage selection

No experience necessary! Come and try it out and learn the process for making an excellent cup. All materials and glazing/firing are included.

Cups will be fired and glazed to your glaze of choice.

Pieces are ready to be picked up 15 days after the class.
