Hey everyone, I got chance to hike Feather Falls before reopening. It is one of my top 3 hikes before the burn scar, but still is beautiful trail if you take in its beauty. It was one of my first true hikes got me into hiking 🥾 as a kid. 😭I am leading it from the Feather Falls Parking lot in Feather Falls, CA. It is about 20 or so minutes from Oroville Lake.
Start Time: 9AM 🕘 (Hint: I like coffeeshops 😂 and there are cute ones in Downtown Oroville)
Group Size: 12
Rated: HARD (I always do this hike counter clockwise, the steep gradient climb back up is worth the but kicker.)
Milage: 8 or so miles 1800ft gain
Bring: waterproof hiking shoes or boots (winter is winter it may or may not be muddy)
Sunscreen, Sunglasses, Hats, Sunscreen
(100% in Sun due to the burnt scar)
Although there is plenty room of trail, poison oak grows near the hidden pathway through the top of falls. Wearing pants 👖 is smart! :D
Food in Downtown Oroville at my favorite brewery Union to enjoy 😉 before ride home.
If it is raining and windy, I will set a new date.
