On the 4th of October, we invite you to join us at Hairy Hounds Playground for a very special gathering in honour of World Animal Day. At 10:30am we’ll be holding a community blessing ceremony — a gentle space where love, memory, and connection come together.
This is a time to pause and reflect on the incredible bonds we share with animals. It’s a chance to celebrate the joy our current companions bring us every day, to remember with tenderness the beloved friends we’ve said goodbye to, and to come together as a community to grieve and heal in the company of others who understand.
World Animal Day is a reminder that our animals are not “just pets” — they are family, teachers, and soul-mates who shape our lives in ways words often can’t express. This ceremony is for everyone: whether your heart is heavy with loss, full with gratitude, or somewhere in between. Together, surrounded by life and support, we’ll honour those who’ve walked beside us and those still here lighting up our days.
