Join us as we explore the fascinating world of vanilla beans! We will taste, smell, work hands on and learn all about vanilla beans. From tasting 10 different varieties of beans from across the globe to learning to craft your own personal vanilla extract , this workshop will be full of vanilla bean fun!
Vanilla beans are the fascinating fruit grown from the vanilla orchid. These orchids grown in different areas of the world create subtle differences in size, taste and smell. We will taste 10 varieties of vanilla paste in a small amount of freshly whipped infused whip cream. This is the best way to taste the subtle differences and discover your favorite type. We will go over the different flavor notes and how to use each variety of bean to compliment and preserve its unique flavors.
We will discuss all the amazing ways to use vanilla beans, their medicinal properties, as well as how they are grown and harvested. We will demonstrate how to craft vanilla sugar, vanilla salt, vanilla honey and how to use vanilla in beauty and bath products. We will discuss and demonstrate how to craft a quality vanilla extract and I guarantee you will never be able to purchase store bought again! We will talk about some great vendors that provide quality affordable vanilla beans. Impress your friends and family with the knowledge to craft quality unique gifts to give in the upcoming holiday seasons!
We will have vanilla infused snacks to showcase the many delicious ways to use vanilla beans and everyone will go home with a half ounce of quality vanilla beans, sample size vanilla infused salt and sugar along with an info packet with recipes.
