Celebrate the opening of Mourning Glory, a solo exhibition by artist-in-residence Sean Culver, whose thought-provoking work invites viewers to reflect on the power of language, memory, and connection. Through evocative text-based paintings and assemblage sculptures, Sean renders forgotten and spiritually rich words with beauty, vulnerability, and reverence.
This special evening offers an opportunity to experience the exhibit firsthand, meet the artist, and enjoy light refreshments in the contemplative setting of the Mary Anderson Gallery. While Sean will be present to welcome visitors and engage in conversation, the reception is designed as an open, informal gathering where guests are free to explore the work at their own pace.
Whether you are discovering Sean’s work for the first time or returning as a follower of his artistic journey, we invite you to join us as we begin this powerful new exhibit season together.
