Artist Talk with Jim Kaelin & Emily Kaelin
Thursday, July 10, 2025 | 6:30 PM
Mary Anderson Gallery | Mount Saint Francis Center for Spirituality
101 St. Anthony Dr., Mount Saint Francis, IN 47146
Join us for an engaging artist talk with Jim Kaelin and Emily Kaelin, the father-daughter artists behind the exhibit Interpretations of the Natural World, currently on view at the Mary Anderson Gallery.
This conversation will explore each artist’s unique perspective and creative approach to depicting nature. Jim, whose detailed wildlife and landscape paintings are grounded in observation, will share how his time in the woods and love of natural light, texture, and form inspire his work. Emily will offer insight into her expressive and imaginative interpretations—drawn from memory, emotion, and the spiritual essence she finds in nature’s complexity.
Together, their reflections highlight the diversity of artistic response to the natural world—one rooted in realism and reverence, the other in intuition and abstraction. The evening invites viewers to consider how both approaches offer meaningful ways of reconnecting with the environment and recognizing our place within it.
This free event is open to the public. Doors open at 6:00 PM. Guests are welcome to explore the exhibit before and after the talk. The show runs through July 24, 2025.
