Miniatures Muster?
What is the Miniatures Muster? Similar to our ever-popular Bizarre Bazaar, the Miniatures Muster is our swap meet dedicated to miniatures games, models, and related accessories. It’s a perfect place to pick up a new army or find a home for those models that have been sitting unplayed or unassembled for far too long.
How does it work?
In a nutshell, Sellers will set up their table space starting at 10:30 AM the morning of the Muster, and Buyers can start shopping starting at 11:00 AM. Once Sellers and Buyers agree on the price, the Buyer purchases a Meeple Madness gift card for the agreed amount and provides it to the Seller. Once the gift card has been received, the Seller provides the item(s) to the Buyer to finish out the transaction.
Here are a few tips for buyers and sellers to get the most out of the experience and have a great time!
If you're a Seller:
- Make sure to reserve a space starting on May 1st at 11 AM. Slots fill up quickly! Due to limited space each seller will be limited to, at most, half an 8x4 table. When you sign up, please give us an estimate of the size of your inventory, so we can plan accordingly.
- One week before start advertising - post pictures of your miniatures to our Discord Server, and your social media accounts to let folks know you'll be at the Muster. Items may be new or used. They must be generally appropriate for the audience - miniatures, terrain, relevant books, posters, etc. Everything should be family-friendly, as we often have young guests in attendance. If you are unsure if an item is OK to sell at the shoppe, please contact us.
- Bring your items in on May 10th at 10:30 AM to check-in and set up your space.
- Clearly mark your prices and be willing to negotiate, as a few dollars could be the difference between selling the item or finding space for it on your shelf again.
- Sellers who stand, smile, and engage tend to sell more than folks that sit and catch up on reading.
- Other guests can either trade for your items or purchase them from you using a Meeple Madness Gift Card. On the day of the event, we'll be using special "Muster" gift cards, so you know folks are using a card they just purchased.
- Enjoy using your new gift cards to do a little shopping of your own. If, at the end of the day, you have gift cards remaining, we'll be happy to consolidate them down to a single plastic gift card, or put the value on your shoppe account, so you don't have to worry about losing or tearing the paper ones.
If you're a Buyer:
- Arrive at Meeple Madness during our Miniatures Muster on May 10th, as early as 11 AM.
- Find an item (or items) you like and negotiate the price with the seller.
- Purchase a Meeple Madness Gift Card for the agreed-to amount and give it to the seller, and then pick up your item from them.
For Everyone:
- All purchases must be completed using a Meeple Madness Gift Card. Buyers and Sellers will negotiate their prices, and then the Buyer will purchase a Meeple Madness gift card for that amount, and present it to the Seller as payment.
- Trades can be done without shoppe intervention - if you've brought a Bloodthirster miniature to sell, and another vendor has some terrain you're excited about - make the swap! If there's a monetary component to any exchange, use a Meeple Madness Gift Card.
- Meeple Madness Rewards points are earned when the gift card is used, not when the gift card is purchased. So, please keep in mind that for all Muster transactions, the seller will ultimately receive rewards points when they use their gift card.
