Leave it for Love

All are welcome to join us this holiday season as we “re-gift” for good. Beginning the day after Thanksgiving and running through the end of January, Leave it for Love collects new, unused gifts then distributes them among low-income, isolated older adults living in the Chicagoland area.

Suggested items include trinkets, tchotchkes, hostess gifts, personal care items, warm weather gear, household décor and non-perishable food.

Since its inception in 2003, thousands of items have been re-gifted. Someone’s unneeded tea-set or winter scarf may help to keep someone warm during Chicago’s harsh winters. This unique and innovative program is easy on the pocketbook, good for the environment and great for the human spirit.
