Process Paint and Sips are a refreshing way to explore various methods and materials in acrylic painting. The focus is on experimentation and play, rather than the end product, which frees us from worrying about whether our art making is "good enough". Beginners through advanced art experience welcome! Each gathering is a chance to practice and build your skill repertoire, relax and have fun.
Spend the evening in our comfortable workshop, surrounded by a collection of inspiring artworks from around the PNW region. Your ticket includes a variety of locally sourced wines, beer, and cider, plus non-alcoholic drinks and light refreshments.
During the evening, we will:
~ Gather for social time & enjoy your choice of beverages
~ Learn how process- focused painting works, and do some basic warm-up exercises,
~ Enjoy music and free painting time, with guidance from an experienced fine artist,
~ Learn how to talk about our creative experiences, what we learned, and what we appreciate about one another's work in a way that's supportive and encouraging.
Participants will go home with one or more finished pieces, and the knowledge of how to continue a process/intuitive painting practice on their own. We also encourage you to register ahead for future Paint & Sip sessions, so you can continue to get support in developing your creative process.
