Service Description
Nature Academy Explorers is a hands-on STEAM class where curious kids learn essential outdoor skills through science, creativity, and exploration. From knot tying and shelter building to solar ovens and seed preservation, students gain confidence, problem-solving skills, and a deeper connection to the natural world—all while having fun outside.
Sundials & Compass Navigation
In this hands-on STEAM class, students will explore how people have told time and found their way using the sun. Participants will design and build their own sundials while learning how the Earth’s rotation, shadows, and sunlight work together to mark time. The class will also introduce basic compass skills, helping students connect natural observation with practical navigation. This session encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and an appreciation for ancient and modern tools used to understand our world.

Each class blends environmental science, engineering, and critical thinking with hands-on activities that encourage teamwork, creativity, and resilience. Lessons are age-appropriate, interactive, and rooted in real-world applications, helping students connect classroom concepts to the natural environment around them.
This class is perfect for curious learners who enjoy being outdoors, asking questions, and experimenting. Whether building a sundial, preserving seeds, or designing a solar oven, students will leave each session with new skills, confidence, and a stronger appreciation for nature.
