Judith Hamann è una compositrice e performer nata a Narrm/Melbourne e attualmente residente a Berlino. Descritta come una “violoncellista australiana straordinaria” (The Guardian), e come una compositrice che “distrugge la finzione del musicista che vive e lavora al di fuori dei parametri convenzionali, sostituendola con una serie di composizioni fondamentalmente umane” (WIRE), il suo lavoro comprende performance, composizione elettroacustica, opere generative site-specific e sistemi microtonali, all’interno di una pratica creativa basata sul processo.

Judith Hamann is a composer/performer born in Narrm/Melbourne, and currently based in Berlin. Described as an “extraordinary Australian cellist” (the Guardian), and as a composer who “destroys the fiction of the musician who lives and works outside conventional parameters and puts in its place a series of compositions that are fundamentally humane” (WIRE), their work encompasses performance, electro-acoustic composition, site specific generative work, and micro-tonal systems in a process based creative practice.
