Monthly Adult Learning group: Elul Reflections & Card-making
Sunday, September 7, 1:00-2:30 p.m.
Here is the focus for our study and learning for Sunday, September 7th from 1 to 2:30 pm at the picnic tables in the back yard of Beit Ahavah. (weather permitting of course, indoors with masks in upstairs classrooms if rain).
Our learning and discussion topic will be the Hebrew month of Elul:
• Key practices for observing Elul
• Common practices during Elul
• Deeper preparation and reflection
• The words of Psalm 27 sung daily all month, "You are my light and my hope."
In addition, Michele is bringing ample fun supplies so we can all participate in putting together holy day cards with her! This can be an Elul practice for us as a group because it is both a way to give Tzedakah to others and to work on crafts for the new year. No artistic talent or experience is necessary.
Do you like to listen? Come and join us. Do you like to participate? Choose to bring some information about Elul to share with the group. Everyone, bring something for lunch because it is a picnic.
