The Openest Mic is thrilled to give you a reason to come check out Canvas by Coff33 Corp! If you’re a local, you used to know the space as Tryst or maybe Destarè but it has been completely reimagined as a bright, inviting community space. There’s a bar and beverages and I strongly recommend grabbing a bite from one of the many restaurants within that stretch of Main Street.
Sets are two songs or five minutes. Five minutes of…whatever you want! Poetry, comedy, prose, dance, magic, whatever you want to perform we want to check it out! Our audience is historically welcoming and fun, you can absolutely use this space and your time to try something new!

Jennifer L. Jones is a composer whose impact on local music is as profound as it is positive. As the former Director of Arts for Fitchburg public schools, Jennifer advocated for and educated an entire generation about MANY forms of art. As a composer, she stands out for her technical proficiency without sacrificing the intimacy of her songs. There will be a multimedia aspect to her performance 🤗
Ricardo Barros is a relative newcomer to Fitchburg, but his affection for the city and the arts makes him feel like a long time local. He is a photographer, writer, curator and film maker. His work has been displayed in the Smithsonian Museum of American Art among many others.
We are truly thrilled to have these superb artists spend their time with us in this space, excited to see what YOU bring to what’s sure to be a great evening.
