The OHTA will be sponsoring our 3rd Base Camp of the season on October 10-11-12.
The host will be White Oak Cabins & RV at 1655 Highway 14, Fifty Six, Arkansas 72533
You are welcome to come participate for the entire weekend or a small portion of the event. Check-in is at 8:30 am each morning.
If you are a maintainer/adopter from Woolum to Matney Knob, this is a great opportunity to work on your section- with help or shuttles.
5 cabins and 4 RV sites (w/electricity and water) are free and open to all OHTA Maintenance Basecamp participants. There will also be plenty of tent space if that's more your style. Also, we will provide BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER for all participants.
Hard hats and safety gear will be provided.
Members and nonmembers are welcome!
Bring your lawn chairs- after the workday, this becomes a social event- sitting around the fire with people that enjoy similar
things.
We need individuals to help in many ways- Loppers, Sawyers, Trimmers, “Swampers” will be needed on the trail. We can also use help in the camp- if you can help cook, clean, take care of the camp, or shuttle volunteers to different locations- that would be greatly appreciated as much as working on the trail.
We need to get numbers for each camp so we can order food and T-shirts, so please sign up at the link below.
More specific information will be emailed to participants that sign up. If you have any questions, please contact us.
