UWF Symphonic Band and Percussion Ensemble

Join the UWF Symphonic Band and Percussion Ensemble for their final performance of the season!

The UWF Symphonic Band, under the direction of Dr. Sean Kelley, will open their portion of the concert with Samuel Hazo's "Ride," featuring driving percussion, brazen brass, and flourishing woodwinds. The band will then present "Radiant Joy" by Steven Bryant, which features soprano saxophone, piano, and mallet percussion. The band's next piece, "Hymn to a Blue Hour" by John Mackey, will provide the audience with a moment of respite and reflection before the presentation of "Vientos y Tangos" by Michael Gandolfi. The band will close their concert with Julie Giroux's epic "Khan," which paints a lush, intense picture of Mongolia and China under the rule of the legendary conqueror.
