Come dance with us! Every week, we bring people together for a fun and welcoming night of Brazilian Zouk... A beautiful, flowing partner dance that’s all about connection and musicality! Never danced before? Perfect! We’ll guide you through the basics step by step. No partner needed because we switch partners throughout the class so everyone gets to dance and learn together. After class, stick around to dance, practice, and just enjoy the music in a relaxed, friendly vibe. This is your chance to refine your moves, meet new people, and truly feel the magic of Zouk. The Arts Station's bar will be open for drinks and socializing outside the dance floor.
Please wear comfortable shoes for dancing - high heels not recommended
About the Instructor
Omer had never danced with a woman in his life, until one day he randomly went to a Zouk class. He was so embarrassed in the beginning, but then saw that he wasn't the only one who had no idea how to dance together, let alone Zouk - Nobody had! But as the class went along something happened and people started to magically dance together. Omer really fell for Zouk, and eventually went all the way to Brazil to learn with the world's best teachers, started teaching group and private classes, and organized parties and multi day intensive workshops. He loves Zouk and is now bringing this beautiful dance to our Fernie community.
