Campeón Market - Creating a Safer Community

When our neighbors need help creating a safer environment, our volunteers step up. We’ve partnered with Campeón for years to support community-led safety improvements using Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles — a proactive approach to crime reduction through thoughtful design and environmental maintenance.

This cleanup event focuses on improving natural surveillance, territorial reinforcement, and maintenance — three core CPTED strategies that enhance visibility, define public spaces, and signal community pride and ownership. By removing debris, overgrowth, and other hazards, we’re not just cleaning up — we’re reclaiming space and reducing opportunities for crime.
