Gathering with the Spirit Workshop

Would you like to hear about how God and the Holy Spirit are currently performing miracles, just like those following Christ’s resurrection? With the guiding realization that the Holy Spirit today is the same as encountered by the apostles, participants are invited into a deeper exploration and understanding of the Holy Spirit in Scripture, theology, and personal spiritual practice. Dr. Daniel Castelo of Duke Divinity School will lead the workshops through a combination of testimonials, lectures, facilitated small group discussions, and activities. Clergy and Laity will explore the different characteristics surrounding the Holy Spirit in Scripture, including significant passages, trends both in the Old and New Testaments, and limitations as described in Mark 6:5-6: He could not do many miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. He was amazed at their lack of faith.

This event will be held from 10am to 3pm in our New Life Center. A light lunch will be provided. This event is free, but a donation of $15 is requested. To register, click the link below:
