250 Liberty Point Resolves Commemoration
PATRIOTS, TAKE NOTICE

On June 20, 1775: residence of Cumberland County signed the Liberty Point Resolves, an early declaration of independence from England. 50 residents signed their names and joined what was known as the Cumberland Association. These men met at a tavern in Cross Creek, NC (now Fayetteville) to sign the document, vowing to "Go forth and be ready to sacrifice our lives and fortunes to secure the colony's freedom and safety."

You too can be a part of history by commemorating the 250 anniversary on Saturday, June 21, 2025.

This event is being brought to you by your local chapter of the Sons, Daughters, and Children of the American Revolution, as well as the Lafayette Society and Camp Flintlock/Johnston County 250th Committee. Seating is being provided by Jernigan Warren Funeral Home.
