Please join us for the 49th annual Fayette Bull Thistle Festival, Saturday Aug 2, 2025!!!
Start your day out with breakfast at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church 8-10am. Then head to watch the parade starting at 11am. The route runs from South to North Fayette St.
After the parade, the Normal Grove Park hosts all sorts of festivities on North Eagle St, where you'll find crafts, food vendors, music, softball tournament and sand volleyball tournament to entertain you all day!
Music will go until 10 pm! Our entertainment lineup this year is Lee Warren 12-3, Heidi Paxton 3-5, and DJ Mayko 5-10!
Our Chicken BBQ dinners will start at noon until sold out. We will have other options as well, Zilantro's Tacos serving 11-4, Bloomer's Kettle Corn, Aqua Ice, B&E's Lemonade, Powers Station and we'll have the concession stand open all day serving burgers, sausage sandwiches, hot dogs, drinks and snacks!
We have bounce houses sponsored for the kids again this year!! And also new this year......caricature artist! Come have a quirky pic done!
Watch the softball or sand volleyball tournament, peruse the craft and merchant vendors, have a drink, enjoy the entertainment, see family and old friends!
The we'll end the night with a new event Park After Dark, a drone light show sponsored by Ritter Station Solar! Starting at 10pm, DJ Mayko will play the music that pairs with the show. This will be held at the park, so bring your blankets and chairs and find a spot on the hill like old times!!!
