Weekend of Sewing with at The Hay Barn - 24th/25th May 2025 - 10am - 4:30pm - Cost £250.00
Enjoy a relaxing weekend of total sewing bliss in the fantastic Hay Barn Hampshire, situated in the beautiful Hampshire village of Lower Froyle, just south of Farnham.
Over two days, leave all of your hassles behind and recharge your batteries with some dedicated sewing time working on sewing projects of your own choice under my guidance. It could be that you would like to focus on getting a good fit to your handmade clothes; Maybe you want to tackle a fabric you have never used before, like jersey, a slippery silk or wool; Perhaps you would like to make a garment that you’ve never felt confident to attempt on your own; It could be that you’d like to create some soft furnishings or use up all of your scraps on a patchwork quilt. The possibilities are endless.
On the Saturday afternoon, I have a special treat for you all! I have invited Ginny along to share the magic of creating with nature, through direct application of plant materials onto cloth using a bundle and steaming process, to create a beautiful watercolour effect silk scarf. Whilst you are waiting for your scarf to steam, you can continue with your sewing project or if the weather is fine, go for a walk in the beautiful surrounding countryside.
And in the evening just in case you didn’t want the day to end, I have booked a table at the Anchor Inn, just a two minute walk from the Hay Barn, where you can wind down from your exhausting day of sewing and enjoy a delicious supper with your sewing friends.

Although this class isn’t suitable for absolute beginners, if you have some knowledge of using your sewing machine but don't feel very confident, you are very welcome to come and learn some more skills.
A light lunch is included on both days with tea/coffee and cake to sustain you! Just perfect!
