✨Each One, Teach One - NAACP + Student Citizens: An Professional Development Opportunity with the Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources Program and Moton Museum VIRTUAL

The Moton Museum is pleased to offer 25 spots for K- 12 teachers interested in learning more about Moton Museum content and the Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources (TPS) program. This enriching VIRTUAL professional development session is centered on the program’s core theme: Empowering Educators at Cultural Institutions: Bridging the Gap in Understanding and Teaching Rural School Desegregation.

Participants will engage in a content session led by Moton Museum staff that uses Library of Congress primary sources to highlight the role of the NAACP in desegregation and the powerful ways children helped shape the movement.

Participants will also learn about the Moton Museum story, explore Moton’s educational offerings, and learn how primary sources can enhance classroom instruction.

Educators who attend will earn 2 recertification points just for participating—and those who choose to complete a short follow-up assignment can earn up to 4 points total. It’s a meaningful opportunity to deepen your content knowledge while advancing your professional growth.
