Come learn the making and use of glazing mortars. If you are involved in stained glass or leaded light windows, you don’t want to miss this opportunity!
Join us for an in-person, one day, hands-on course at the National Trust’s Heritage and Rural Craft Centre in Oxfordshire.
Organised by the British Society of Master Glass Painters in association with the
The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings, expert Stonemasons,
Samantha Peacock and Tom Flemons, will be exploring traditional glazing mortars in historic buildings and its use in stained glass or leaded light windows installation.
There will be instruction on lime and its uses in mortars, making mortars for pointing leaded windows, and application demonstrations and personal learning. There will be two funded student placements available, sponsored by the British Society for Master Glass Painters charitable foundation.
