Race distance will be around 15-20 miles. Courses will be marked with signs to guide you along the route. We will release the routes prior to each race as well.
Wearing a helmet is required. Rear light and headlight on your bike are recommended, these roads are open to the public. Wearing headphones is discouraged.
This is a gravel race and we are out in remote areas of the country. Flat tires/mechanicals are a possibility, and you should be responsible for yourself. Bring tube(s), tire levers, CO2/Pump, multitool, and be able to call for help if necessary.
To be eligible for the race series standings, you must be a FlatLands Cycling member. Details on the series below and on our website. Membership details and sign-up instructions can be found here:

U23 Category racers do NOT need to be FlatLands Members to compete in the series, and be included in the race series standings for the U23 Category.
Racing starts at 6:30 pm each night. Required check-in will be from 5:30 to 6:15 each night, you must check in before each race.
A numbered race plate will be provided for each participant, and it must be affixed to the front of your handlebars and be legible. We will also be using Strava Segments to ensure course route was followed and use your segment time as supplemental timing mechanism.
No aero handlebars allowed.
No littering.
Participants register for the category they are eligible and want to compete in. See the description of each category for more details to help you choose which you'd like to compete.
Race series scoring will be kept per category. Points are awarded in each category based on how a participant places in that night's race. 1st place gets ‘X’ Points, 2nd place gets ‘Y’ Points, and so on. Your best 3 races for a given category will count towards the series final results. Participants can change to a different category for the series, but their points will only count towards the category which they raced on a given night.
