PLAYING GAMES
If you prefer to turn up and see on the night:
- [ ] Have a wander around and join someone’s game, look for the “Players Wanted” signs.
- [ ] Or start your own table, bring some games and see who wants to play (“Players Wanted” signs are available at the front desk).
If you prefer to pre-arrange:
- [ ] Use the Events fb page to offer games to play.
- [ ] Use the Event fb page to find games to play.
- [ ] Small library available for use at most events. See in ‘Albums’ for pictures, descriptions, rulebook and ‘how to play’ videos.
NEW TO THE HOBBY?:
- [ ] If you’re new to the hobby and the group we have a Welcome Newcomers Table for complete beginners. Signing up before the event is strongly advised!
- [ ] If you’re new to the group but have a little experience with the hobby we have one or two Introduction Tables. These tables are run by volunteers who offer all the support you need to learn new games. Signing up before the event is strongly advised!
SECOND HAND GAMES
There is a ‘bring and buy’ on the stage at the far end of the hall. If you have games you wish to sell, make sure you label them with the price and your contact details
RULES:
- [ ] Adults (18+) only.
- [ ] There will be a £3 charge per person, to cover costs and hall hire. I come around to collect this between 8 and 9.
- [ ] The hall has a capacity of 90, so it's first-come-first-entry. Once capacity is reached, we cannot let others in.
- [ ] If you don't have one, you will be offered a loyalty card. Each visit I will stamp an empty space, when you have 5 stamps, the 6th visit is free.
- [ ] No alcohol. Guests found with alcohol will be politely asked to leave. Soft drinks are available to purchase on the night, but please feel free bringing your own.
- [ ] Abusive and threatening behaviour will not be tolerated.
- [ ] Respect the property and tidy up after yourself. This is a shared hall used by many groups. Treat it like you would your own home (or, if your home is a mess, my home).
- [ ] Look after the games. People have spent their hard earned cash buying games that you may play. Be respectful of that.
- [ ] No cheating. No cards up sleeves, mirrors, x-ray vision or telepathy please 😁
- [ ] If you play a game and the group finish, help pack it away before moving on to another.
- [ ] What happens at the table, stays at the table. Yes, someone might make a dick move, but remember: it's just a game.
- [ ] Mostly HAVE FUN !!!!
