Second Saturday Guided Sunrise Paddle!!
We here at Kincaid Lake sure do love the peace and serenity that comes with the sunrise here at the Park and we want to share that more with you! What better way to experience that than being on our beautiful lake?!
Our guides, Amanda McElfresh and Tim Richmond, are avid outdoors people and no strangers to Kincaid Lake State Park. They themselves call the lake home, as they own property on the lake and love exploring the area. Amanda and Tim have worked in outdoor recreation for over 30 years combined. Amanda has previously worked locally at Kincaid Lake and at Thaxton's Canoe Trails while Tim's experience guiding started as a raft guide on the Nolichucky River. Tim has also completed Kentucky's longest hiking trail, the Sheltowee Trace consisting of 343 miles from Fleming County to the Big South Fork in Tennessee. While Kentucky offers beauty around every corner, Kincaid knows how to really show off. Our guides have viewed bald eagles fishing the lake, green herons nesting, river otters playing, American beavers building dams and a ghostly albino deer that is breathtaking to see as the sun burns off the morning fog.
Come experience a paddle on peaceful water and discover with us our local flora, fauna and fungi.
