8 Week Course for women starts Thursday 2nd October 7.15-9.15pm @ The Space, Falmouth Sports Club
This course is for women and femmes who resonate with having a womb
In this course we will be co-creating a ritual dance performance piece embodying the alchemical power of the womb as keeper of the mysteries of rebirth, life and death. This piece uses veils and fabric to explore dissolving into the silence of the velvety obsidian dark night sky and the wild magick of our menstrual blood.
There is a performance opportunity on Friday 21st November in a Burlesque Theatre Show in Falmouth and also we will film the performance of this piece at Men-an-Tol standing stones on Saturday 22nd November between 11am-2pm. There will be more performance opportunities offered in future.
We will be journeying with our own wombs through ceremony, alchemical dance, serpentine movement and costume making. We then weave our magick collectively into this ritual performance piece.
IMPORTANT INFO:
Please make sure that you can attend minimum 7 sessions if you wish to take part in performance opportunities. If you miss important practice sessions, it may not be possible for you to take part.
You will be given a simple costume making project, so please allow time for completion of this homework, which is an important part of the alchemical process. Most materials will be provided, and costume costs will be kept to a minimum for everyone.
