This year, weโre bringing the spectacle of decorated floats back to Falmouth Carnival! Whether youโre a local business, a community group, a school, or just a group of friends with a creative spark, nowโs your chance to design and showcase your own eye-catching float.
A float is typically a decorated vehicle or trailer (up to 7.5 tonnes) designed to reflect a theme, celebrate a cause, or simply bring some fun to the parade! Think vibrant displays, imaginative costumes, and plenty of energyโthe more creative, the better!

The heart of Falmouth Carnival has always been its fantastic marching parade, and we want YOU to be part of it!
Get creative with your costumes, banners, and routines as you bring the theme โFill Your Bootsโ to life. Whether you interpret this literally with oversized boots or take it as a call to celebrate local pride, we canโt wait to see what you come up with!

This year, the procession will begin at 18:30pm on Saturday 9th August 2025 from The Falmouth Recreation Ground, Dracaena Ave, Falmouth TR11 2FB (Falmouth Rugby Club). The pre-carnival fun begins on site from 12:00.

At present the Carnival Committee are in talks with Falmouth Town Council in regards to the overall route for both the marching parade and the floats. It is proposed that Marching Entrants along with the Floats will leave The Falmouth Recreation at 18:30 travel down Killigrew Street, The Moor, Webber Street, Market Strand, Market Street, Church Street, Arewenack Street and finally Grove Place, officially ending there.
