Do you have a favourite garment you wish you could recreate?
In this hands-on workshop, led by experienced pattern cutter and maker Helen Shine of Dot n Cross, you’ll learn how to create a custom sewing pattern from your most-loved top or dress, without taking it apart.
Helen brings years of industry know how and a passion for helping people create unique clothes that truly fit and last. She’ll guide you step-by-step through the process of tracing your garment, adding seam allowances, and making minor modifications like adjusting the length or adding a seam line, so you leave with a fully usable sewing pattern you can make again and again.
While we won’t be sewing the garment during the session, we’ll cover construction tips and walk through the best order of assembly so you’re ready to get started at home. If your garment is more complex, you may need a little extra time after the class to finalise all the pattern pieces.
