Greetings Everyone,
We are truly delighted and absolutely excited to invite you all to our next big show with the ever so amazing NAZIA AHMED who was part of Arnob and Friends. This show will also entail a powerhouse of musicians and we are super happy to bring back our previous friends/musicians Rahul, Dave, Scott and for the first time we will also be accompanied by the amazing Debu Nayak on Tablas. For those of who know, it’s like a big reunion show for us with great minds. And this is essentially the first time we are curating a show with a featuring solo artist so we are really looking forward to presenting to you all yet another unique show.
This collaboration show highlights our vision for creating South Asian fusion music with selective and extraordinary artists who truly gives a wonderful experience to audiences. And for this show, the presentation of songs will span through many great South Asian tunes from Bengali, Hindi & Urdu with a good blend of semi-classical and fusion music.
About The Artist:
Nazia Ahmed, made her debut in the Bangladesh music scene in 2008 when the band Arnob and Friends embarked on a North America and UK tour. Later that year, in 2010, the band released a live album featuring signature compositions and songs from the tour, including “Ore Nil Doriya,” “Amay Bhashailire,” and “Piya Ki Nazariya.”
Nazia’s background in Hindustani classical and Lalon folk music allowed her to share her passion for music throughout Bangladesh and France with her own band, “Don’t Ask.” In 2014, they released their debut fusion album, “Karmic Dhun.”
Nazia’s musical influences span across a wide range of genres, including jazz, blues, soul, and progressive rock.
Nazia, who is now a West Coast resident, has been called upon by INFUSION to bring her unique fusion style back after a long hiatus, blending semi-classical with popular songs and original compositions.
