This session invites dancers of all levels to explore the technique, history, and cultural roots of Afro-Fusion, a style that boldly blends the fierce, expressive language of Vogue with the grounded, rhythmic traditions of African movement. Omari will guide participants through not just the steps, but the story and spirit behind this dynamic dance form.

About Omari Wiles:
Omari Wiles is a celebrated dancer, choreographer, and cultural leader known for fusing his West African dance heritage with ballroom Vogue. He is the founder of Les Ballet Afrik and the House of Oricci and has been featured at the Joyce Theater, Works & Process at the Guggenheim, and Lincoln Center. Omari’s work pushes the boundaries of multicultural dance while championing freedom of expression and community.
